My visit to Twirl and finding my dream wedding dress couldn't have been easier and more enjoyable. From the moment we walked in I was impressed by the store and how helpful everyone was. It was just my mom and I for my appointment and we had our own area with a privacy curtain to try on dresses. I never felt rushed and always felt listened to. It can often be challenging finding a dress shop as a plus sized bride. Some of the shops I went to before Twirl advertise that they carry larger sizes but in reality, they can only order larger sizes, they don’t have them available to try on in the store. I was left with trying on dresses that were not my taste, they were just the only dresses they had in my size...The experience at Twirl was completely different. From the time I entered, my consultant Jessica was so kind, warm, and friendly. She really put me at ease and I felt assured that my experience with her was not going to be anything like the nightmare I’d experienced before. She really listened to the things I wanted and pulled gowns that really fit my vision and even offered things I wouldn’t normally pick for myself. I was so happy that every single dress was in store in my exact size! Inclusion is so huge and other stores just don’t understand that. I felt like a normal bride just like everyone else. Because I AM a normal bride like everyone else.

TWIRL became a reality in March of 2011 when I purchased a bridal shop that had been helping brides for 32 years. I remember the day i walked into my shop with a little bit of pride, a ton of excitement and a whole lot of nervousness. I hadn't yet named my shop on that first day, but I envisioned my little girl, Lucca, twirling around in her dresses in front of the expansive mirrors and seeing the joy on her face radiate the feeling of finding a gown that matched her internal beauty. I wanted that feeling for every bride and girl going to prom. I still love the moment when the bride says yes to her perfect dress. It never gets old; she might cry happy tears or explode in laughter when she realizes "this is MY dress!" From day one, we have believed that every bride deserves to experience joy as she finds for the dress of her dreams. There is no better place to be when making a lifetime memory than TWIRL!
